Alternative
Fuel Vehicle
Run the Quasiturbine as an internal or external
combustion engine
to
power vehicles using alternative fuels.
The Quasiturbine can be run as an Internal Combustion machine.
It is inherently flexible regarding the type of fuel used:
- The Quasiturbine running in internal combustion more
is also immune to knocking
- A very wide range of fuels with different octane
ratings could be used in a Quasiturbine internal combustion engines
- Fuel flame transfer rates are not as much a
consideration in a Quasiturbine because:
- Transfer of the Fuel-air mixture to the
Quasiturbine chambers are more even and causes natural mixing
- Quasiturbine rotation rates [RPM] are slower,
allowing the flame front to propogate throughout the chamber
The Quasiturbine can be run as a Stirling Engine (external combustion)
- Almost any type of fuel could be used in external
combustion [Stirling] mode
