Four Stroke Internal combustion Engine
A Quasiturbine could be used as a very efficient Four-stroke (Otto
Cycle) Internal combustion Engine:
- The fuel efficiency of such an engine could be up to
20% greater than an equivalent piston engine.
- The size and weight of a Quasiturbine Otto Cycle
Internal combustion engine could be up to 1/8th that of an equivalent
piston engine
- High efficiency at low duty-cycles
- Very Low Idle Speeds (as low as __ RPM)
- Higher dynamic RPM range
- Lower gear ratios or possible elimination of a gearbox for mobile
applications
